Dave Thornton in Oval Office

Veterans Gazette publisher David Thornton in the Oval Office as President George W. Bush signs H. R. 2297, the Veterans Benefits Act of 2003, in the Oval Office Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2003. The act expands the benefits program for veterans and their surviving spouses.

The act put into place the ability to Sole-Source and Set Aside federal contracts to Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business which is the very first program of it’s kind that is not a birthright but earned by service to the United States.
